Body established in order to supervise the application of the Vienna Agreement and having the task of proposing and monitoring the appropriate operating methods and systems, on the understanding that the day-to-day processing is handled by both ISO Central Secretariat and the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre.
CEN Technical Board (CEN/BT) and ISO Technical Management Board (ISO/TMB)
3.1 Monitors the general implementation of the Vienna Agreement.
3.2 Reviews and where necessary proposes revisions to the existing procedures, mechanisms and bases for information exchange, to achieve the objectives of mutual visibility and understanding of work programmes.
3.3 Monitors the progress of projects of mutual interest and proposes whatever action may be required to ensure progress towards the completion of projects within planned timescales.
3.4 Advises the CEN/BT and ISO/TMB of any direct involvement required of them for improving the performance of Secretaries and experts appointed by member bodies.
3.5 Maintains working relations with the technical management bodies of both organizations.
3.6 Reviews coordination issues on questions of common interest with a view to deciding on work allocation.
To act in an advisory capacity to CEN/BT and ISO/TMB.

Members are appointed by their respective Technical (Management) Boards.
Operates following the "management by exception" principle. Meetings are only convened if this is requested by ISO/TMB and/or CEN/BT.
